Short Poem

God, I don’t want my works to burn up in the fire on the last day /Because my motives weren’t pure in having them on display / I confess my heart drifts to temporary pleasures / Scrolling on my phone, distracted beyond measure / At times my faith wanes, it becomes unstable / But at the end of the day, I know You are able / When I look into myself, I began to sink like quick sand / I reach out to you, and You grab my hand / Realign me to Your algorithm / Straighten out the kinks in me / I want to just vibe out in Your frequency / Help me to become a child again / Restore my heart from stones / I want to be like Mary, at Your feet and nothing more / Quiet the noise in my mind / Recalibrate me / I stand before You bare and You clothed me / Rewire my heart to not chase the approval of man / Fill every crevice of rejection with Your love until its overwhelming
