“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” “You are God’s handiwork, His Masterpiece.”
In my field of work, I manage logistic operations in a Transporation office. When God introduced me to this field, I had no prior experience, but I soon was exposed to a world of intricate processes and procedures. If I could compare the work enviornment, I think of the Dunkin Donuts slogan, America runs on Dunkin, in this case, America runs on efficent logistics.
Logistics are the unseen players, behind the curtain. In the same way, our anatomy is comprised of supporting actors and main characters. Every role is needed, and every role is vital on this intricate stage. The human anatomy is nothing short of immaculate. We are truly God’s handwork, His masterpiece.
A small muscle in our bodies, but a powerhouse in its own right, the design of the human heart is awe inspiring. Only the size of our fist, yet it controls the very pulse of our physical being. The human heart pumps 2,000 gallons of blood each day. That’s the equivalent to filling a 8ft by 10ft swimming pool (American Heart Association, 2025). The heart pumps oxygen rich blood to every fiber of our makeup and it also removes waste from those same areas in the body. One beat of the heart, a myriad of transactions happen in the blink of an eye, continuously flowing. There’s so much that could be said about God’s incredible design. When every time we breath in, our lungs jump into action and when we exhale, toxins leave our bodies.. It takes doctors at minimum 8 years to even begin to scratch the surface of one body part..
One body part…
One misaligned chromosome, one slight deviation and dysfunction will happen. A miracle truly does take place when a human being is born into this world. All parts of the body support one another. God is the ultimate composer. Just like musical instruments, every one has its part to play for a beautiful sounding symphony. He really showed off when He created us.
