Genesis 4:16

“Then Cain went away from the presence of the LORD and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.”

Reflections…

The word ‘Nod’ in Hebrew means “wandering.” One of the saddest verses in scripture is found here with Cain leaving the presence of God. Jesus said in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Without Christ in our lives, we are in darkness. It’s only fitting that Cain would end up settling in a place called Nod (wandering) as he left the presence of the Lord. As he left the presence of Light..

That is a reflection of us today who are without Christ. We are wandering, searching, looking for Truth.
