Reflections

I was watching a movie at the theater, and one of the previews was for the new Transformers movie. I personally never got into the Transformer movies, but something stood out to me when I heard them say, “decepticons, rise up!” I couldn’t help but see this through a spiritual lens.

Our enemy is the master of deception. A masquerader of light. One of the first things Jesus said in Matthew 24 is, “See to it that no one deceives you” “For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

We are in a age where deception is at an all time high and continually on the rise. The wolves in sheep’s clothing. The enemy is crafty and subtle. He is a liar, and the Father of it. He’s an expert at transforming and twisting Truth ever so slightly. I ran into a group of mormon missionaries again today, and on the surface it seems like we were in agreement and saying the same thing, but when we peel back layers, whlat they truly believe is revealed.

Lord, open my eyes to any deception that’s masquerading as Light. In Jesus Name.
